Alright, we will be going over Carrier air conditioners, and my choice for good, better, and best in the Contra Costa County, East Bay. The Comfort™ 13 Central Air Conditioner is a good option because of how much we use air conditioning in Concord, CA. We get scorching summers, so if you need an air conditioner and you're looking for a more budget-friendly unit, this is the right choice.
This unit runs a 13 seer. That technically stands for seasonal energy efficiency ratio. What that means to you is it's a measure of how efficiently your air conditioning system operates. The higher the number, the more efficient it runs and the lower your utility bills will be.
(Better) - Comfort™ 16 Central Air Conditioner
Next, going from a Comfort™ 13, we're going to move over to my better option, the Comfort™ 16. This one runs at a 16 seer energy efficiency rating, and as you can see, there is a little bit of a difference. The seer ratings go up so much because of the coil size, so what this one does is gets a little bit wider and taller to get more coils and more air to come across it, taking the heat from your house and pushing it outside. Moving to Comfort™ 16 is the best option, in my opinion.
(Best) - Infinity® 19VS Central Air Conditioner
This one, as you can see, is taller and about the same width as the Comfort 16, but this has a variable speed compressor in it, so when it comes to outside sound levels, this unit is super quiet. For example, if this is being put next to your deck or somewhere where you have many family gatherings outside, I would roll with this unit because you can barely hear it running at all. When it comes to my good and better units, these are just single-stage compressors, which means they're 100% on.
These are good budget-friendly options for you. The best unit is about variable speed, which helps with the sound volume when it ramps up and ramps down. Like I said before, if you have many family gatherings outside for barbecues, go with this option; this is an excellent unit.
Something else this unit does because it's variable speed is it dehumidifies your Concord home a lot better than the other previous units. It runs on a really low speed taking that humidity from inside your home and pushing it outside, allowing you to keep your thermostat at a little bit higher temp because the humidity level is lower on the inside of your home.
